Welcome to the Ecclesia Pistis Sophia - Virginia Study Group website!
Our mission is to study the Sophian Gnostic tradition through the works of Tau Malachi, Tau (teacher) and Lineage Holder of this Christian, Kabbalistic tradition. As an outflow of these studies we seek to co-labor with Mother Spirit for the sake of the liberation of all beings, through prayer, spiritual practice, and sacred study.
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, ''Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” 29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no commandment greater than these.''
Mark 12:28-31
Meetings
Weekly we meet for prayer and sacred discourse, focusing on the Sophian Gnostic writings of Tau Malachi and Holy Scripture.
At least twice a month we hold a more structured meeting for study and discussion of one of Tau Malachi's books. At this time we are exploring his work on Christian Kabbalah, Gnosis of the Cosmic Christ.
As Mother Spirit leads we will study and discuss each of his books in turn, including The Gnostic Gospel of St. Thomas and St. Mary Magdalene.
We meet in Fredericksburg, Virginia, just 50 miles south of Washington, D.C., off Interstate 95. If you are interested in meeting with us please contact
